Located about 320 km northwest of Hanoi, Sapa is one of Vietnam’s most breathtaking hill stations bestowed on an amazing landscape picture. Land of blossom
Sapa’s climate is cool year round, and therefore, besides Da Lat, this land is a place where you can find the most beautiful blossom seasons of Vietnam. Flowers bloom four seasons a year in Sapa. Each season, there will be one or two seasonal Sapa flowers blooming gorgeously.
Rice terrace fields
Your trip is not really perfect if you don’t have time through the village and see beautiful rice terrace fields. Local ethnic people here often grow rice and establish next terrace rice fields from the foot to nearly top mountains. It is passed on from generations to generations without selling because these are the most valuable for them.
Mount Fansipan
A 6-kilometre cable car journey will whisk you 3,143m to the summit of Mount Fansipan in just 15 minutes. Wander the pagoda complex before climbing the last few steps to the summit. The views from the ‘Roof of Indochina’ are unmatched.
Cat Cat Village
Cat Cat Village is the H’Mong village people. It impressed visitors by the picturesque scenery of rice terrace fields, and the old Hydro Electric Power Station which the French built. It is around 3km from Sapa town so it is easy to visit this village.
Silver Waterfall
Silver Waterfall is about 12km from Sapa town center. It is one of the places to discover its beautiful waterfall. Like a white dragon looking down from the sky. It’s easy to travel to this fall by motorbike or car within 30 minutes.
Ham Rong mountain
Right in the heart of Sapa town centre, Ham Rong Mountain offers the great place to catch the panorama of Sapa town. From the high location, you can view Sapa town hidden in the fog and cloud which is picturesque.
The best time to visit Sapa
Visitors can visit Sapa town all year round and each brings different feelings and views.
The best time to visit Sapa is in September and October when the rice terraces are at their most splendid, besides, you will find lots of intriguing festivals within this time. Or in April and May, when the weather is ideal and the blossom season comes.
For those who don’t mind hot weather, June to August is a fine time to visit. Expect chilly weather from November to March.
