Breakfast at a hotel. Start the first golf tour in Vietnam at Bana Hill golf course, located 25 minutes driving from Danang, near the foothills of the cable car station leading to Bana Hills.
The IMG managed Da Nang golf course is the first Luke Donald-designed course in Asia and the world. Some of the most memorable holes are the 4th and 5th. They are both par-5, but only #4 is reachable in two. The long #5 starts with carry-over water followed by two well-struck long irons or hybrids to reach the protected green regulation.
The 10th hole is an easy par-4 that plays upwards to one of the highest points on the golf course. There is an excellent photo opportunity from the green. The par-3 12th goes the opposite way downhill and is also one of the most picturesque places at Ba Na Hills. Being managed by IMG, Ba Na Hills Golf Club operates to international standards.
All 18 holes are floodlit, which detracts from the otherwise natural beauty but does allow golfers who have a late start to finish their rounds.

Breakfast at a hotel. The second round of our tour is at The Montgomerie Links, designed by Colin Montgomerie, located just off historical Danang Beach and minutes from the Danang City, is a stunning 7090 yard par-72 golf course.
The course was rated as one of Asia’s ten most elite courses by the 2012 Forbes Travel Guide and most recently voted as ‘Vietnam’s Best Championship Course 2013’ by the Vietnam Golf Magazine. Eight-time European Tour Order of Merit winner Colin Montgomerie, better known as Monty to his worldwide fan base, has massaged massive greens and rippled fairways into the stunning backdrop, setting up a golfer’s course.
Montgomerie Links has outstanding natural features. The sandy soil, wind-blown dunes, and indigenous vegetation combine in creating the framework for this links-style golf course along the Vietnam East Sea. Only a few other flagship layouts in Dubai, Ireland, and Wales can boast the Montgomerie namesake. Among the memorable holes are 7 and 13, a pair of par-4’s with some of the deepest bunkers on the course. The only departure from tradition comes in several lakes and streams, a must when considering the region’s seasonably high water table.
The course caters to players of all abilities as holes are routed through an incredibly natural formation of dunes, heartlands, and seaside vegetation. Montgomerie Links Vietnam is a must-play for anyone on a golf holiday in Danang or Hoi An.
After completing the 18 hole round, a car and tour guide will take you to Hoi An ancient town for hotel check in and overnight in Hoi An.

Breakfast at a hotel. After breakfast at the hotel, the car and guide meet at the hotel lobby. Transfer to Long Thanh for the first golf playing day in Vietnam at Long Thanh golf and country club situated on over 350 hectares in Tan Phuong Village, 36 km away from Saigon city.
This golf course was designed by the world-renowned golf course architects’ firm – golf plan headed by Mr. Ron Fream and Mr. David Dale, with more than 335-year experience in designing, building, and maintaining golf courses throughout the world. The golf course offers 36 holes in the former rice paddies and scenic countryside including hill course and lake course.
All 36 holes have their character shape, and this wide variety makes for good challenges for both serious amateurs and professional golfers. Hole 4, a par-3 on the Hill Course, is the signature hole and features two greens equally good. Both require accurate tee shots as there are out-of-bounds over putting surfaces. Another great hole at Long Thanh is the par-5, 14th hole on Hill Course. The longer you hit the ball, the tighter the fairway gets. If you can’t reach the green in two shots, the lay-up shot requires real accuracy as there are out-of-bounds on the right and a lake on the left.
In 2013, Long Thanh Golf Club was voted as one of the Best Courses in Vietnam by Asian Golf Magazine for its turf surface in good condition, modern equipment, professional and enthusiastic staff.
After lunch at the golf course, transferring back to Saigon. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Saigon.

Breakfast at hotel. The last golf course in our trip will be conquered today is Vietnam Golf & Country Club, one of the nearest golf clubs to the city center, home of the Vietnam Masters Asian Tour events which is set amongst 300 hectares of land and includes two championship golf courses. Open since November 1995, the 7, 106-yard West Course at Vietnam Golf & Country Club features narrow tree-lined fairways and fast level greens.
The par-72 championship course was Taiwanese designed and hosted the Vietnam Open Asian PGA Tour events in both 1995 and 1997. The course winds its way through mostly oil palm trees offering challenging tee shots to narrow landing areas. Several holes also feature a lone tree in the center of the fairway. Bermuda Tifeagle greens provide beautiful putting surfaces all year round. The West Course’s difficulty lies in its championship length. One of the best holes is 11th. It’s a long 408 yard par-4, dogleg to the left.
The tee shot must carry over trees on the left to have sight of the green. A large tree on the center of the fairway and bunkers on both sides of the green come into play on the second shot. The slightly elevated green is shallow and wide, so an approach shot must have some spin on it to hold the green. The second course at Vietnam Golf & Country Club is the 6,946-yard East Course.
Designed by Lee Trevino and opened in 1997, the East Course offers more generous fairways than the West Course but includes 110 well-positioned bunkers, water hazards, and undulating fast-rolling Bermuda Tifdwarf greens. The layout is so challenging even a seasoned tour pro will think twice before ‘going for it.’ The East Course’s undulating greens are the undoing of many an unsuspecting player.Golfers must play smart and set-up good approach shots to give relatively straight putts – which is something more comfortable said than done on these greens. In general, both the East and West Courses are good choices for a day golfing in Saigon.
Transfer back to Saigon center. Dinner in a Michelin restaurant with Vietnamese cuisine is the best choice as a farewell dinner before coming back home after a challenging week in Vietnam. Overnight in Saigon.
