Overview
Mai Chau valley, this lovely rural district is known as the culture and eco-attraction of Hoa Binh province in the Northwest of Vietnam, about 160 km far from Hanoi. At a height of 200 to 1500 meters above the sea level, Mai Chau glories in a cool climate all year round.
Mai Chau has turned out as an attractive and popular destination in the north of Vietnam. Its beauty always satisfies the most hard-to-please eyes: lovable stilt houses queuing as a line in a vast green paddy field perfectly combine with the scenic landscapes as a powerful lure that you cannot resist.
Itinerary
Day 01: Hanoi - Arrival (Dinner)
Welcome to Hanoi – the capital city of Vietnam. Upon your arrival at the airport, our guide and driver will meet and transfer you to the hotel to Check In. The balance of the day is for you to spend at your leisure. The capital city of Hanoi is home to the rich culture of the country and you will see both Chinese and French influences in architecture & cuisine as you explore the city. Free at leisure till welcome dinner at restaurant.
Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 02: Hanoi City Tour (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
The city tour brings you to visit the beautiful and ancient Capital of Vietnam, which includes Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum built in 1975 to commemorate the great leader’s life as a reformer and ‘Father of Vietnam’; Ho Chi Minh’s former residence and the Presidential Palace. You will visit the unique One Pillar Pagoda, the symbol of Vietnam, built in 1049.
After lunch, visit the Temple of Literature, built in 1070 dedicated to the great Chinese scholar Confucius and the legendary and beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake. Take an one hour rickshaw tour to explore Hanoi’s bustling Old Quarter and enjoy the traditional water puppet show found only in Vietnam. Dinner and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 03: Hanoi - Ky Son Moon Garden (Walking - Cycling) (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Drive to Ky Son Village in the morning. Take a pleasant walk around the village to get a taste of the northern countryside lifestyle of Vietnam before joining your host for lunch preparation. Have lunch and learn more about the Vietnamese culture through conversations with locals.
In the afternoon, set out on a bike ride along local trails with stops for taking pictures, chatting with children and farmers and shopping at the village market while soaking up the pastoral atmosphere and tranquility.
Return for a relaxing traditional herbal bath before dinnertime. Before bed, soak your feet in a traditional herbal treatment.
Overnight at Ky Son Moon Garden Homestay.

Day 04: Ky Son - Mai Chau (Cycling) (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
The serene morning will inspire you and the host to practice Yi Jin Jing, a series of exercises coordinated with specific breathing techniques and mental concentration.
Leave for Mai Chau after breakfast. Check-in and have lunch in Mai Chau.
In the afternoon, take delight in biking through rice paddies in the Mai Chau Valley which is dotted with stilt houses. The ride offers opportunities for taking photos, visiting families and interacting with the locals. Have dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight at Mai Chau.

Day 05: Mai Chau (Walking) - Hanoi - Departure (Breakfast / Lunch)
Drive to Xam Khoe Village where you will set out on 2-3 hours walking tour to the Thai minority village named Buoc.
Transfer back to Hanoi airport for next destination after lunch; en route enjoy a rewarding panoramic view of the Mai Chau Valley.
Meal included: Breakfast at hotel. Lunch.
