There is no bad time to visit Vietnam, as there are always many parts of the country with holiday skies.

Vietnam’s unique geography creates a range of weather patterns, with both tropical and temperate zones. While March to May offers the best weather countrywide, there is NO BAD TIME to VISIT VIETNAM, as there are always many parts of the country with Holiday Skies.

What to pack when visiting Vietnam?

We’re often asked what are the essentials to pack when travelling to Vietnam, so we’ve put together a list to help you get started.

  • Travel documents and passport (plus print outs – have multiple copies)
  • Main luggage and padlocks
  • Small day-bag
  • Travel-sized microfibre towel
  • A shopping bag (for picking up fresh market fruit & veg!)
  • Money-belt for valuables
  • Light, breezy clothing for the heat (including light weight long trousers)
  • Comfy walking shoes and socks (keep a spare in your day-bag)
  • Sun protection: suncream, sunnies, hats, caps and swimwear
  • Anti-bacterial wipes or hand sanitiser for hands (use before eating)
  • Comfy clothes for overnight trains
  • Waterproof/windproof jacket
  • A ‘modesty-shawl’ for conservative areas
  • Torch, conversion plug & batteries
  • Toilet paper/pocket sized tissues (not always available)
  • Camera, memory cards and portable charger
  • Personal first-aid kit and travel medicine
  • Insect repellent (beware of the mozzies)
  • Vietnam E-Visa (valid for 90 days + multiple entries)
  • Skin products
  • Flip flops and slides for walking around in the accomodation
  • Optional: laundry bag

  • Optional: ear plugs, eye mask and other night essentials
